Help a Shelter Pet Transition into a Loving Home
Our Foster-to-Adopt program gives animals a chance to start their journey to a forever home while still completing their medical care – and gives you the chance to make sure it’s the right fit.
Many of our foster-to-adopt animals are still waiting on final medical appointments or need to be spayed/neutered. Rather than keeping them in the shelter during this time, we invite approved fosters to take them home right away, providing a safe, loving environment that helps them socialize and decompress.
How it works
- You take the animal home as a foster while we continue to provide all necessary veterinary care, including spay/neuter and vaccinations.
- During this time, you help the pet adjust to home life — offering comfort, structure, and love.
- Once the animal’s medical care is complete, you’ll have first choice to adopt.
- If it’s the right match, you finalize the adoption and welcome them into your family.
- If it doesn’t work out, that’s okay — the animal comes back to us, and we continue the search for their perfect home.
