    Our Mission

    The purpose of the Humane Society of Douglas County, Inc. (HSDC) is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of humane education.

    We provide humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection in the area served by HSDC. We also attempt to return lost animals to their owners, seek suitable homes for animals without owners, and offer humane euthanasia when necessary.

    Meet Shatter

    Shatter is a 3 1/2 year old male Pit Bull available for adoption! Shatter is a very happy and energetic boy who loves to play! Shatter is up to date with vaccinations, has been neutered, dewormed, given flea/tick preventative, microchipped, and vet checked. His adoption fee is $375.00 + tax
