Riders raise money for Humane Society’s large animal handling.

Solon Springs, WI (NNCNOW.com) — It’s been six months since a trailer filled with dead and injured animals, including six horses, was found in Superior.

In light of that incident, one high school student wants to make sure the Humane Society has the resources to take care of large animals.

When seven year old Brody Aho met Napoleon, they quickly became friends.trail ride3

“He rides perfectly,” said Aho with a smiling at the horse.

We have a couple problems but he’s perfect.

Napoleon was one of six horses found emaciated and injured in a trailer six months ago.

He was taken into custody by the Humane Society of Douglas County and has made a full recovery.
